Andrew Koch, project manager of Glory: "Palma will become one of our favourite venues "

Hublot PalmaVela has been the venue chosen by Team Glory to test their brand new unit, a recently launched TP52 of which Andrew Koch, project manager of this practically amateur American team, is very satisfied. “Hublot PalmaVela is good training for us. On the first day of racing the crew has been very comfortable, we have tried many sail configurations and have made some small adjustments. We have to bear in mind that we have hardly sailed three days on this boat that is why we are longing for tomorrow’s race” explained Koch satisfied.

Team Glory has chosen the bay of Palma as a test racing area for its excellent weather conditions, “we hope that the wind will increase throughout the regatta so we can enjoy ourselves. These boats are fun with 20 knots”, explained Andrew. For Koch, the racing area for their first test today has been very interesting “because we were used to a fixed course. Today, for the first time, we have been indicated the variable mark coordinates while we were racing, a real challenge for us”

The American team has been pleasantly surprised by the fleet gathered together this year in Palma: “in the last edition of the Global Championship in the United States there were ten units, the same number of boats we are sailing with these days in Hublot PalmaVela. Undoubtedly, Palma will become one of our favourite venues to which we hope to return after we finish the World championship”.
